MAUMS Program of Studies..

At MAUMS, we hold high expectations for faculty, staff and students. Our mission is to provide a program of rigorous academics that prepares students for high school and meets the developmental needs of the young adolescent. In addition to our academic mission, our programs emphasize the advancement of social cooperation, personal responsibility and ethical behavior. Our curriculum is based on the Vermont Framework of Standards and Learning Opportunities and is a critical link in the Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union K-12 curriculum. Our staff is highly trained in middle school instructional practices and consistently provides meaningful learning activities to each of our students. We are most appreciative of the parental support that we receive. Students and parents are key members of our teams and take leadership roles through volunteering in school and on field trips, and as active participants in our Parent, Student and Teacher Association and Student Council.
