Handbook Geo Bee ..

MAUMS has a long tradition of participation and success in this annual event sponsored by the National Geographic Society. The school level contest usually takes place in January and is open to all interested students. The winner of the school level contest must pass a test to qualify for the state contest. The winner of the state Geo-Bee wins a trip to Washington, DC where he or she will compete for a college scholarship and a number of other prizes. MAUMS has sent a student to the national competition on two occasions.
