Handbook Administrative Procedure Retention/Promotion Summary..

Approved programs for summer school include Mt. Anthony's Summer School, The MAU Bridges Program (for eighth graders) and the Bennington Tutorial Center. Any other program requires approval from the administration prior to June 25th of the current school year.

1. A student must have a 65 average for the year and pass at least two (2) marking periods to pass for the year.
2. A student with more than 25 absences must go to summer school or risk being retained; a student with 45 or more absences cannot make up courses during summer school or tutorial; s/he must repeat the year.
3. A student who fails the four core courses must repeat the year.
4. One year of physical education must be passed in order to move on to the Senior High.
