Handbook Saturday Detention..

The Mt. Anthony School Board has approved Saturday detention for students who violate school rules. Saturday detention will be held weekly as needed during the school year. The detention will begin sharply at 9:00 A.M. and end at 11:00 A.M. Students will be under teacher supervision in Saturday detention. A proctor will call the homes of students who are not in attendance.

Students who fail to attend a Saturday detention will be suspended on the following Monday or the next day school is in session.

Students exceeding 15 hours of Saturday detention will be assigned ISS or OSS for future rule infractions. In addition to other sanctions, these students may forfeit the privilege of a hall pass and will be escorted when they need to leave during a class period for any reason.

Please note: In case of bad weather an announcement of cancellation will be made on 102.7 FM EQX, between 8:00 and 8:30 A.M. If detention is canceled, the student will serve detention on the next date scheduled for Saturday Detention. If students are evicted from Saturday detention, two Saturdays in a row, they will be subject to suspension and a Saturday detention make-up. Any student failing to attend this rescheduled detention will be required to go before the Administration for additional action.
